Description
Based on an ethical and ecological concept. These bags are made up of polypropylene wire, which come from recycled plastic bags. They are all handmade by groups of disadvantaged women. Most of them are widows, or have been deserted by their husbands. A South Indian social organization provides skills training and then purchase the bags they make at the highest rate possible, sometimes twice the local market price. All the profits are used to support various social programs such as the schooling of children, micro credit, and sponsorship.
